HOW IT STARTED

Rather than relying on overt branding, Heurtefeu built its reputation through presence. The brand appeared in match photography, race imagery and original team-issued garments, many of which remain in circulation today as collectible pieces. This visual and material legacy forms an authentic historical record of Heurtefeu’s role within professional sport.

Today, Heurtefeu draws inspiration from this heritage. Archival designs, historical partnerships and decades of sporting culture inform a contemporary vision rooted in authenticity. The brand remains a tribute to an era when sportswear was defined by purpose, craftsmanship and a direct connection to the game.

On the Pitch

During the 1970s and 1980s, Heurtefeu gained visibility at the highest levels of sport through its role as kit supplier to professional teams.

In football, the brand was present on French pitches through partnerships with top division clubs, most notably Paris Saint-Germain during the mid-1970s, as well as clubs such as Troyes and Angers.

These collaborations placed Heurtefeu directly in the intensity of league football, where its designs were tested week after week under competitive conditions.

Heurtefeu’s influence extended beyond football. In professional cycling, the brand supplied technical race apparel to elite teams during the same period.

Team jerseys produced for squads such as La Redoute–Motobécane in the late 1970s stand as tangible evidence of Heurtefeu’s involvement in one of Europe’s most demanding endurance sports.

These garments, now preserved through collectors and archives, reflect a deep understanding of function, comfort and performance.
